Blink and you'll miss it

Bank Holiday has been and gone in the blink of an eye! Half term has started in our house, with my sister busy revising for her A-levels! Having been up to Sheffield last week, it's sad to think that people have finished uni forever and that I may never see them again! Luckily a lot of my close friends have got a house or job in Sheffield so will be around next year!

So it has finally been sunny enough to sit outside, and I even got sunburnt! I have gone over half way on my assignment - happy days! The final part of my assignment requires me to complete a SMART Action Plan for what I want to achieve next year when I return to my studies! Now, I am not going to give too much away as I am not sure who might read this...but so far I have four and I desperately need one more to add to my plan! Any suggestions/advice would be welcomed with open arms!

This week I am determined to get another 1000 words done and set to finding a lot more academic references! Fingers crossed!

Here's a funny picture of owls if they were coffee...made me chuckle!

Have a great week everyone!

B2B v B2C

I recently read an article suggesting that marketeers in B2B are more confident and optimistic about their work than those in B2C. It cited that "42% of B2B marketeers report improving confidence over 12 months."

Do I agree? I am not 100% sure is the honest answer! The majority of my work/studies has been on B2B, and I believe that sometimes B2B Marketing can see more difficulties in reaching the target audience.

I have almost spent 12 months in a B2B environment and I can safely say that my confidence has flourished during that time, both personally and in my work.

Other stats state that the second most effective tactic within B2B marketing is content creation, however this is classed as one of the most difficult tactics to achieve. Social media success is also ranked high on the difficulty ladder. On the other hand, social media is classed as the easiest form of marketing when it comes to B2C.

What do you think? Which category do you fall into - B2B or B2C?

I think I will be able to have a true answer to this once I am in full time employment!?

Who will Alan choose?

What a weekend! I have been up to Sheffield for 2 birthday nights out, which were very busy days but lovely to see everyone. Tonight we went to try out the new Buddies Dinner which was delicious! Only problem with this is that no work has been done, apart from some planning on the train! I have Wednesday off though to spend all day doing my assignment.

Not too much to report from this week! I am considering going to The Business Show in June....depending on how the assignment is going etc! Has anyone been to this before? Any thoughts?

This week coming is going to be a busy one - I am off to see Watsky in Islington on Tuesday (youtube him if you haven't heard of him - not everyone's cup of tea but we like him!) and then off to Sheffield again on Thursday night for another birthday! Busy busy busy!

SPOILER ALERT!
I am about to talk about The Apprentice - so if you haven't seen it and intend to stop reading now!

So three episodes down now and what can I say, I am hooked! There is something about the candidates this year that annoys me, I think they seem really stupid!? But then again I cannot imagine what it is like to be in that situation! The flat-pack box the girls did last week, I mean come on girlies you are giving us all a bad name here! I highly recommend watching their interviews on the BBC site - some of them are unbelievable! I am looking forward to seeing the next few weeks tasks and hopefully the teams being mixed up a bit! There does not seem to be a clear winner at the moment...so keep watching! Let me know who your faves are!

A weekend with little sunshine

This weekend went so quickly! Friday night was spent with a dance and sing-a-long to some Ska music from the Skatoons - check out their Twitter page here. Saturday I was a good girl and did my assignment then went out for dinner. And Sunday I went to a Coffee tasting session with Pinks Fine Foods - like these on Facebook to hear all their news and events - some great tea and coffee :) And this afternoon (Sunday) we had  BBQ for my uncles birthday.

I also got some great news that I got the job of becoming this years (from September) Communications Officer for the SBS Enterprise Society. Woohoo! Looking forward to getting stuck into this!

This month I have so many birthdays in Sheffield that I have every Friday off so I can go up there for celebrations! How quickly is this month going to go?! A warning now to anyone who is going on a placement - the year will fly by before your eyes!

For now though, the night is rolling in and I think it is time for bed!

Summer time...

Hello! It is the bank holiday weekend...and the sun is trying to come out! Finally summer is here...(spoke too soon?!)

Today we have been out to a National Trust place and I have spent the rest of the day having a chilled, relaxing time. I am currently in the process of sorting out my pages for friend's 21st scrapbooks - we do this in our friendship group for everyone's 21st birthday :) It is proving to be very difficult to fit everything onto 2 pages!

This month is looking very busy in the old calendar...! Lots of things to do and people to see!

I am looking into how to set up a new email address...does anyone have any advise on where to do this? I don't want a yahoo, gmail etc email address, I am after a personalised one for example: hello@example.co.uk .... any ideas? Advise will be greatly appreciated!

Just a short one today :)

Enjoy the sunshine!
